Who we are

Funk Media ("we", "us") operates this website and the services available through it. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and login credentials. Authentication is handled through a managed identity service; we never store your password in plain text.
  • Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number is transmitted directly to Stripe and is never stored on our servers. We retain records of your transactions (amounts, dates, items) for billing, receipts, and accounting.
  • Content you provide. Information you submit through the services — orders, bookings, messages, profile details — is stored so we can provide the service you asked for.
  • Technical information. Like most websites, our servers record standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, used for security, debugging, and keeping the service running.
  • Cookies. We use cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences (such as language and display settings). We do not use cookies to sell your attention to third parties.

How we use your information

  • To provide, maintain, and improve the services you use.
  • To process payments and send you transactional messages (receipts, order updates, account notices).
  • To secure the platform — detecting abuse, enforcing access controls, and keeping your data isolated from other customers' data.
  • To comply with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting requirements.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not share your information with advertisers.
  • We do not use your content to train artificial-intelligence models.

Where your data lives

Our services are hosted on Amazon Web Services infrastructure in the United States. If you access the services from outside the United States, your information is processed and stored there. Every customer's data is logically separated and access-controlled; our systems are designed so that data belonging to one customer is never served to another.

Third parties we rely on

We share information only with the service providers required to operate the platform — payment processing (Stripe), cloud hosting (Amazon Web Services), and email delivery — and only the minimum each needs to do its job. Each provider is bound by its own contractual and legal obligations regarding your data.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the services, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted.

Your rights

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Depending on where you live (including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and California), you may have additional rights under local law, such as data portability and the right to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Continued use of the services after a change means the updated policy applies.
